Andrea Porter was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and is a single mother to two beautiful 13 and 10-year-old princesses. 

With an Antiguan father and Dominican mother, she grew up with sea moss as part of her weekly, if not daily, diet, so this superfood is very familiar to her. Island Dream was born when a conversation with her dad led to him suggesting, ‘Why don’t you start making your own sea moss gel and teach people what you know?’ She did, and she has not looked back.

While she is not solely a vegan, Andrea has many plant-based tendencies and a passion for a healthier way of life. She promotes clean, healthy, wholesome eating. Her intent with sea moss is to educate and help others prioritize better health for themselves and their families.
